Our CTLE-eligible Math Project Days are a series of five workshops designed to deepen understanding of NYS Standards and NYCPS Mathematics Shifts. In 2026–2027, all sessions will be framed through the NYC Solves Instructional Focus: Beginning with Sensemaking, Developing Fluency and Understanding Together, and Using Supplemental Learning Time to Accelerate Learning in Mathematics.

Across the five sessions, participants will explore:

• Hands-on experiences that build conceptual understanding of the Foundational Learning Standards for their grade band
• Teacher actions to center individual and collaborative student sensemaking by connecting student strategies to key concepts, representations, vocabulary, procedures, and notation
• Supplemental Learning Time routines, tools, and resources for targeted, data-driven small-group instruction, additional practice, or enrichment in high-priority content that builds fluency and helps key facts, strategies, and procedures become increasingly automatic
• Effective Progress-monitoring strategies to ensure all students engage in grade-level work in a way that builds upon and strengthens previous learning
• Strategies that help students use models and representations to make sense of mathematical situations and strategies
• Strategies for fostering classroom discourse that reveals student thinking, strengthens reasoning, and builds academic language

Location: Mathometry Headquarters, Roosevelt Island, NY
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (45 min. lunch break)
Who Should Attend: Grades 3-5 teachers and math coaches

PLEASE NOTE:

• The purchase of one seat equals participation for ONE teacher to attend the five scheduled days.

• If a registered participant is unable to attend a scheduled day a school may elect to send a replacement teacher to that session.

• Due to the limited number of seats available, priority will be given to schools currently working with a Mathometry consultant.
